Two groups of birds appear as strong candidates: three North Pacific albatrosses <i>Phoebastria</i><span style='font-style:normal'> spp. and three Mediterranean shearwaters of the genera </span><i>Calonectris</i><span style='font-style:normal'> and </span><i>Puffinus</i><span style='font-style: normal'>. Four mainly southern hemisphere-breeding shearwaters </span><i>Puffinus</i><span style='font-style:normal'> spp. and the Peruvian Diving Petrel </span><i>Pelecanoides garnotii</i><span style='font-style:normal'> might also be considered for listing. ACAP s Advisory Committee has agreed to progress the listing of the three albatrosses.
